Summer Fantasy
Hot summer colors give this techniques sampler a tropical feel. Third
in the Fantasy series (with Spring and Winter), all stitches and
motifs are extensively diagrammed and include Maltese interlace,
wave Bargello, herringbone leaf, Milanese pinwheel, crescent,
triangle rays, Smyrna, satin stitch, lazy daisy, spider web roses,
trellis, couching, rice, 2 leaf stitches and a Hardanger section
with spider web filling stitches and lacy daisy. The color scheme
was inspired by one of my favorite summer outfits, but feel free
to change the colors to suit you! The model is shown stitched with
Needlepoint Silks, Northern Lights, and Kreinik #4 braid and Silk
Bella on 28 ct. hand-dyed Jobelan.
Design size is 168 x 168, about 6” square.
