Arkansas Cares
DebBee’s Designs has partnered with Arkansas CARES to bring stitchers a
new line of fabulous needlework accessories!
Arkansas CARES is the Arkansas Center for Addiction Research, Education
and Services, and provides residential treatment for addicted mothers,
their children and families. Arkansas CARES provides a family-centered
approach to decrease maternal substance abuse and promote healthy
family outcomes through prevention, treatment education, research and
advocacy. Arkansas CARES is licensed as a mental health provider for
children and adults, a substance abuse treatment center, childcare
center for infants through age 12, and provider of early intervention
services.
Our partnership is designed to provide light manufacturing skills for
the women in treatment, to encourage them to enter the work place when
they leave treatment. The proceeds from the products made by Arkansas
CARES goes to a foundation to provide medical and dental co-pays for
the residents and their children; current residents are providing for
future residents on an ongoing basis.
