Almost Basic Canvaswork Ornament
Have you ever wanted to try canvaswork, but the size of the piece or
expense of materials changed your mind? This small piece
will introduce you to some of the basics of canvaswork, without a
lot of expense or complexity. The model is shown worked on 18 ct.
white mono canvas, but a larger count will work equally well. The
design uses just 2 colors of cotton floss and 1 color of #8 pearl
cotton; the model uses DMC cotton floss 208 and 210, with DMC #8
pearl 208. The instructions and stitch diagrams are extensive, so
you can do this on your own if a class is not readily available.
The finished design is 72 x 72 stitches,
about 4” square
